The Government of Sindh, under its commitment to improving
healthcare delivery and ensuring access to safe medical services, has outsourced the
management of four Regional Blood Centers (RBCs) to the private sector under the
Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
This initiative represents a significant milestone in
strengthening Sindh’s blood
transfusion system by ensuring the provision of safe, screened, and quality-assured
blood and blood products to public and private healthcare facilities across the
province. The four RBCs, located in Karachi, Jamshoro, Sukkur, and Nawabshah, serve
as central facilities for blood collection, screening, processing, and distribution
to their respective networks of hospital-based blood banks.
This initiative demonstrates the Government of Sindh’s commitment
to leveraging PPP
frameworks to deliver essential public services more effectively, ensuring better
health and wellbeing for communities across the province.
